Carlo Rosa


Carlo Rosa is Chief Executive Officer of the DiaSorin Group.
Born in 1966, in 1990 he graduated in chemistry with honours from the University of Turin.

In that same year, he moved to New York to work with the Health Research Institute on a project for the development of a new innovative product for the diagnosis of hepatitis C infections.
In 1992 he joined the listed American company Incstar Corporation (Minnesota, United States), where he operated in the research and development department leading a project jointly with Akzo Nobel.
He then held other roles, in both Research and Strategic Marketing, until taking up the role of Head of the Infectious Diseases business unit.
In 1998, he returned to Italy to be Head of European Strategy and Marketing of DiaSorin S.p.A.
In 2000, Carlo led a management buyout with other managers and a group of investors to acquire DiaSorin from its previous owner, American Standard Inc. Following the acquisition, he held the role of Chief Operating Officer until 2006, when he became Group CEO, a position he still holds today.
In 2016 he was appointed Deputy Chairman of Assobiotec and now sits on the Board of the Italian Technology Institute Foundation.
